Minimally Invasive

At Arizona Associated Surgeons, our goal is your good health and we are committed to a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. Technological advances mean that many surgeries today are far less invasive than in the past. Using a laparoscope (miniature video camera) and surgical instruments, surgeons can perform surgery using tiny incisions instead of the traditional large incisions required by open surgery. The laparoscope gives your surgeon a close-up view of your organs and tissues while he/she is performing surgery.

Because minimally invasive surgery doesn't involve large incisions or cut muscles, patients have a much quicker recovery time with less pain and fewer complications. Sometimes these procedures can be performed in-office and the patient can go home the same day. This means less cost and inconvenience for our patients. The surgeons at Arizona Associated Surgeons are trained to perform both laparoscopic and open surgery. Depending on your condition, your surgeon will determine which surgery is best for you.
